The NHL Entry draft is now just around the corner and after 32 teams battled down to the Colorado Avalanche winning the Stanley Cup the teams that didn't win will look to the draft to improve. While the Avalanche will look to the draft to find players that could possibly help them repeat.

The draft begins July 7th in Montreal who own the first overall pick which is very exciting for the fans in attendance at the Bell Centre. However, we still don't know who the Montreal Canadiens are going to pick.

We have had one scout say this another say that TSN's BoB McKenzie who's got a pretty good track record of projecting the first over pick has Slovakia born Juraj Slafkovsky going first overall over Canadian born Shane Wright.

However McKenzie would say it's "razor thin" between Slafkovsky, Wright, and McKenzie has American born Logan Cooley going 3rd overall.

With the rumours of Slafkovsky going to Montreal, Habs forward Nick Suzuki would mention that a line with him, Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovsky

"Sounds like a pretty good line to me" - Nick Suzuki

It seems that Slafkovsky agrees with Suzuki and would make a hint to Canadiens General Manager Kent Hughes that he'd to would love to play for the Canadiens. Slafkovsky would say,

"I was reading some where that Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield needed a left winger. I'm sitting here if they want."
- Juraj Slafkovsky

We won't know until July 7th who the Canadiens decide to pick either way doesn't seem like the Canadians could make a bad choice, But it's going to do they want to have one of the best young lines in the NHL or a one two punch at center.
