The New Jersey Devils have had a successful rebuild and continue to improve with an average age of 25.5. Jack Hughes, Jesper Bratt, and Akira Schmid are leading the way. The Arizona Coyotes are in turmoil, as usual, with an average team age of 25.8, even with their cap dump roster including Jakub Voracek and Shea Weber.
The Buffalo Sabres have improved under a younger team and better coach, with Tage Thompson leading the way and an average age of 25.8. Montreal is further along in their rebuild than Vancouver, with an average age of 26.2, while the Canucks are at 26.5 and struggling.
Florida made it to the Stanley Cup Finals with an average team age of 26.9, led by Brandon Montour, Matthew Tkachuk, and Carter Verhaeghe. Surprisingly, Chicago is still rebuilding despite adding Nick Foligno, Corey Perry, and Taylor Hall, with an average age of 27.2.
Lastly, the San Jose Sharks have an average age of 27.3 and have just begun their rebuild, with their window for success still far away.
