Hockey Canada's honor is tarnished, after the alleged sexual allegations against former members of Team Canada players from the 2003 World Junior Hockey Championships in Halifax, and the 2018 in London.

After Hockey Canada did a lackluster internal investigation they are finally getting a thorough investigation.

This comes after a woman stepped forward to say that she was "gang raped" by 8 members of the 2003 Canadian World Juniors team.

Halifax Police have opened a investigation and The Head of Hockey Canada Michael Brind'Amour has officially stepped down immediately after pubic backlash were calling for Brind'Amour to be fired.

As for the 2003 alleged incident
the details of the allegations are disturbing to say the least and there is reportedly a videotape of the assault, with full narration from one of the players involved.

Full details from TSN's Rick Westhead:

"The video shows roughly a half-dozen players taking turns having sex with a woman who was non-responsive and lying face up on the pool table, the source said.

Two sources said they watched the video on a VHS tape in an apartment in the spring of 2003.

The third source said that one of the players on the 2003 World Juniors team borrowed their video camera during the tournament in Halifax. The recording was on the camera when it was returned to them. That person said they did not inform police about the recording and deleted the video from their camera after being pressured to do so by players. The source said they believe a copy of the video was made when the camera was not in their possession."

In the wake of this scandal several members of the 2003 roster have done everything to co-operate to clear their names from the list. They are PA Parenteau, Carlo Colaiacovo, Dan Paille and Jordin Tootoo have all cleared their names.

In a interesting twist Team Canada's 2003 goaltender, who just re-signed with the Minnesota Wild Marc Andre Fleury declined to comment on the allegations when confronted by Quebec's La Presse newspaper earlier this week.

From La Presse:

Questioned by La Presse , the 37-year-old goalkeeper limited himself to repeating that he had "no comments" to make in relation to this case.

Tuesday evening, La Presse invited him to comment on the 2003 allegations. "No comments, thank you," he replied, politely, twice.

Where not saying he's guilty obviously that will come out, but it's interesting if your not involved the first thing you would want to do is clear your name.

The names of those players accused haven't been announced yet, but if these players did what the victim is claiming they need to be brought to justice.
