After making his debut on Saturday, having not played since January 28th, Chicago's Captain is continuing his healthy streak and will make the upcoming road trip with the team. They fly out, today, for tomorrow's game in Calgary, and will have games in Vancouver and Seattle as well, before returning home to face the Wild on Monday the 10th.
Also noted is that Jared Tinordi, who has been out with a hip injury, will also be on the trip, as his recovery has been progressing nicely, and he should be eligible to play in either Vancouver or Seattle, or both.
Toews was present at the Blackhawks' final home practice of the year, which shouldn't be surprising, considering no one is entirely sure if it will be his final home practice, ever.
April 13th is about a month before his 35th birthday, so for now, the team, as well as the fans, are just enjoying being able to see him, and having him back on the ice.
And of course, no matter how much time has passed, the Captain will always contribute.
Toews loves the game. He loves the city. And he loves the fans. He'll do what he loves for those he loves for as long as he can.
