The NHL has come under fire recently from members of the LGBTQ community. As a result of Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Ivan Provorov's refusal to participate in Warm-ups due to not wanting to wear the Pride Warm-up Jerseys.
Then last month the New York Rangers would not take part in the Pride night events, after stating they would, where many believed the Rangers had players not wanting to participate and instead of an Ivan Provorov situation they just didn't do it at all.
Now it looks like a another team is following as the New York Islanders recent news has been leaked:
"The team won't be wearing any rainbow warm up jerseys citing in as a Organizational Policy."
This will definitely cause controversy on social media, the NHL is going to have to decide if they need to actually have these Pride games or not without having to make players decide.
