New AI goaltender is going viral
It seems that Banting Memorial High School is exploring new ways to enhance the game, although the exact details are unclear.
Nonetheless, I'll give you the scoop. Recently, the school's students unveiled an AI-based goalie during a TSN broadcast on July 1st in Toronto.

The AI goalie is programmed to make its own saves and was developed in a mere two months by the students.
The equipment comprises a basic version that boasts a specialized camera, monitor, and onboard computer to track pucks.
Although many of the components were repurposed, the robot is still a remarkable feat for a project in its infancy.
