Radio Analyst Nick Olczyk made his NHL debut alongside John Wideman on Nov 9. It was a game between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Chicago native began his career as a Fuel analyst, also participating in some of the Notre Dame games. He has lately joined the NHL team on TNT.
"I'm incredibly thrilled to see my friend and broadcast partner get the call to the NHL," said Fuel broadcaster Andrew Smith. "This is the goal for broadcasters as much as it is for players and coaches. It's very well-deserved. Nick is one of the rising stars in our business. He has worked hard to prepare for this moment for a long time, from calling games for the Fuel to working behind the scenes and learning all aspects of a broadcast."
Many NHL fans and for sure Blackhawks fans are familiar with the voice of Eddie Olczyk. The familiarity is spot on! Take a listen for yourself!
