The Ottawa Senators have been in shambles as of late, for player morale as well as the recent passing of their owner Eugene Melnyk.

The team finished this years standings seventh last, with thirty-three wins and forty-three losses, the Senators missed the playoffs yet again. General manager Pierre Dorion was asked if the team is expected to use some of the cap out of the large amount they have available, and Dorion took a turn saying:

« We won't be spending to the top of the cap unless we sell out all 41 home games. «

Pierre Dorion cleared the air that their «rebuild» stage was over, as they have clearly done it well with their young skilled roster, but what's next? Having your rebuild complete, you would figure if there are missing pieces and you have a ton of cap-that the team would spend?

Dorion seems as if it is on the fans, and that they «would have» spent the cap space if they would have sold our their home games last season.
