The Blue Jackets dealt with a serious case of the Monday's, finding out that one of their top prospects was opting to stay closer to home in France to deal with some issues, caused by his mental health.
News of Texier's decision, came mere days after another one of their prospects Calvin Thurkauf notified the team that he was to sign a seven-deal in the Swiss league with HC Lugano. The 25-year-old's newly inked deal will carry through till he is 32.
Texier cited that he would stay in France with his family while he was going through some mental health battles.
All the best for Texier and his family, and the NHL will certainly look forward to have the young forward back as soon as humanly possible.
