After a Stanley Cup Championship winning season at the end of the 2022 Stanley Cup playoffs, MacKinnon just so happens to be inching closer and closer with each passing day to need to sign a new contract.
With that said, could MacKinnon realistically demand and receive a higher salary per season than McDavid?
