Hockey Canada has been facing serious allegations this hockey off-season, and some of them have been confirmed true at the Parliament court case. Hockey Canada allegedly had a ''trust fund'' that was funded by registration fees of hockey parents across Canada, that fund has been used in multiple occasions to pay off victims of sexual assault, and for other disturbing things.

Oh, you thought that was quite awful? It is, but now it has been revealed in court that a second ''equity fund'' by Hockey Canada has been used to pay off victims, caused by Hockey Canada associates and players.

There has also been information revealed about several sexual assault cases that Hockey Canada has hidden for years, but we will not touch base on that at the moment.

Hockey Canadas two biggest sponsors have pulled out from giving any funding in exchange for advertising, or ANYTHING as a whole if it has to do with Hockey Canada. The two multi-billion dollar companies released the following statements:

Tim Hortons:

''We've communicated to Hockey Canada on many occasions that the organization needs to take strong and definitive action before it can regain the faith and trust of Canadians,'' Michael Oliveira, Tim Hortons director of communications, wrote in a statement.''We're deeply disappointed in the lack of progress that Hockey Canada has made to date.''

Scotiabank:

''In our open letter in June, we publicly called on Hockey Canada to hold the game to a higher standard and we are disappointed with the lack of progress to date,'' .

''From Hockey Canada, we expect a tangible commitment to transparency with Canadians, strong leadership, accountability with their stakeholders and the hockey community, and improved safety both on and off the ice.
Ultimately our position hasn't wavered: the time for change is long overdue.''

This is a huge step in the right direction, and hopefully other large companies come forward and do the same as a group effort to bring awareness to the victims, and to put Hockey Canada in the spotlight for doing-wrong.
