REPORT - NHL Player Safety Hands Out Punishment to Kirill Kaprizov For Using Stick as a Weapon
A game misconduct penalty, and a intent to injury 5 minute major was assessed when one of the league's best offensive players used his stick as a weapon yesterday.
Drew Doughty of the Los Angeles Kings got into a fight with Kirill Kaprizov, who struck him across the face with the stick, and in his neck area which could have turned out to be the second bloody incident of the night.
The NHL player safety committee proves once again that they are inconsistent and favourite star players, Kaprizov has been fined $5,000, and that is all, for his intent to injure and melee attack with his stick.
Kaprizov is laughing, as he makes $10 million per year.
