Buffalo, New York and the surrounding western areas have been getting pounded with lake effect snow since Thursday night. Snow totals as of Friday morning were sitting around 3 feet (36 inches). However, snow is still falling and an additional 2-3 feet could be in store for the Buffalo area on top of what has fallen in the past few hours.
With all this being said, the Sabres are scheduled to travel to Toronto and play the Maple Leafs tomorrow (Saturday) night. However, travel is impossible while this intense snow continues to fall. As long as the snow is falling, the Sabres traveling to Toronto is impossible. As of Friday afternoon, the Sabres are still in Buffalo and have not given any statements regarding if they'll be able to travel to Toronto. If they can't travel to Toronto, they'll be forced to forfeit the game.
