Joel Quenneville, the esteemed NHL coach, will not be among the candidates for the New York Rangers coaching job. After a storied career, Quenneville's reputation took a significant hit in 2021. He was linked to the Rangers recently, but they've shut the door.

During his tenure as head coach of the Florida Panthers, troubling allegations emerged surrounding his knowledge of sexual assault allegations involving former Chicago Blackhawks video coach Brad Aldrich.
This revelation led to Quenneville's resignation from the Panthers as the controversy unfolded. The incident sent shockwaves throughout the hockey community and prompted a serious reassessment of workplace culture and accountability.
In light of these events, it is unlikely that Quenneville will be considered for coaching positions in the near future. The Rangers, like many teams, will undoubtedly prioritize individuals who uphold the highest standards of integrity and promote a safe and respectful environment for all involved in the game.
