Ron MacLean is Receiving Backlash After a Ridiculous Suggestion on LIVE tV
Since the firing ofDon Cherry, Ron MacLean has been the centre of attention on Hockey Night in Canada for the past few years.
Yet, MacLean is still popular today, but hardly ever for the right reasons; rather, it is more often for ridiculous ideas. His most recent one is, to put it lightly, intriguing.
After
Jacob Markstrom played average, Ron MacLean suggested that Markstrom (the Flames' goaltender)should serve as the captain of the Calgary Flames. This season, Markstrom has drawn negative attention in Calgary as a result of multiple terrible games, but one mediocre performance led MacLean to believe Markstrom should lead their team.
To be mentioned, the last time a goaltender was made captain, it failed miserably many years ago.
Hockey Night in Canada sure misses you Don..
