Last night, just about 8 minutes into the first period, on his third shift of the night, Mackenzie Entwistle took a hard, shoulder-to-shoulder hit from Calgary's 6'1», 202lb, 35 year old Trevor Lewis. The Blackhawks' winger went down, clutching his right arm. The Flames were essentially on a power play for about 15 seconds while Entwistle painstakingly made his way to the bench. He was met with the medical staff and immediately proceeded down the tunnel to the locker rooms.
After the game, Ben Pope reported that Mackenzie was feeling «stiff all over» and would not be going on the road trip with the team.
Stay tuned for more updates as we monitor his progress.
