Derek King has had a rough season coaching the Chicago Blackhawks, and some may turn their head and think- what if Derek King Is the issue?

Well, it may be. Derek King has yet to take accountability for his team, and has a habit of throwing players under the bud after a loss while he should be motivating them and taking accountability.

King mostly references «HIS» team as «they», and not «we» as they are his own team and they come together as one. It seems to be a lack of ownership within the Blackhawks organization.

The Blackhawks have already wasted plenty of prospects entry level contract playing time this season, and chose to play declining veterans such as Calvin De Haan and Erik Gustvafsson over our promising youth that needs to be developed such as Lukas Reichel, Alex Vlasic, Alex Regula and more.

Lukas Reichel was recently signed to a entry level contract, and held down in the Chicago Blackhawks affiliate team for pretty much the whole season. Until the Blackhawks decided to call up the promising prospect last week.

Their is a «slide» rule, where if the player plays more than 10 games while signed to their entry level contract, it does not count as a full seasons contract.

Derek King on the other hand, played Reichel a exact 11 games before sending down- ruining his whole 82 game entry level contract over 11 games of playing time.

Slide Trigger Players may play up to 10 NHL games in a season (including playoffs) and be still be eligible to slide. As soon as they play 10 games, their contract starts and can no longer slide.

WATCH: King comments on Reichels plays and announces a decision on the prospect:
