The Blackhawks Get Hit With Even More Bad News

The Chicago Blackhawks have proved very many critics wrong so far this season, starting out with a 5-5-2 record which sits them at 19th overall really is the opposite of what most expected.

The Blackhawks are currently ranked above the Calgary Flames, Minnesota Wild, Pittsburgh Penguins, the Washington Capitals and even many other franchises who were expected to have a much better start to the year.

Two things seem to have played a key factor in the Blackhawks recent success, newly hired head coach Luke Richardsons new system, and the Blackhawks goaltending.

Alex Stalock produced league-leading number throughout his first three starts with the Hawks, but sadly as of late he has went down with a injury. It is Stalocks first full-time role as a goaltender in nearly three years, so it shouldn't be unexpected that a injury has been endured.

Petr Mrazek, the Blackhawks goaltender who was expected to be the starting goaltender only lasted a few games before suffering a groin injury early on, and has been sidelined since.

Now, the Blackhawks are relying on the Rockford Ice Hogs starting goaltender Arvid Soderblom, or they were.. until he got injured, in yesterdays Blackhawks Jets game, making it the teams fourth goaltender to suffer a injury, and now a ECHL goaltender Dylan Wells will take the crease for the mean time.

There is currently 'no idea'' of Soderbloms' status, but for the Hawks and his health, we hope it is a minor injury.
