Chris Vosters, who was hired to take over for Pat Foley as the PxP announcer for the Blackhawks, last year, has received the all-clear to stay for at least another year. As reported, the Blackhawks president, Jaime Faulkner has heard good feedback about Vosters.
Pope went on to explain that «changes to the studio show» was more about content than personnel. Former goaltender Scott Darling is part of the studio show, and his role is one that may be revised.
There was no specific mention of Colby Cohen or Caley Chelios, though based on this information, it doesn't sound like their roles within the organization are likely to change.
As of now, Vosters still travels to announce for other sporting events, mostly at the collegiate level.
With his newly revealed job security, one wonders if he'll focus more on Chicago, and hockey, or if he'll continue keeping his options open, just in case.
