Ahead of the first practice after the all-star weekend, the Blackhawks have called up goaltender Jaxson Stauber. He was sent down before the all-star weekend alongside forward Luke Philp and defenseman Filip Roos. He'll serve as the backup goalie for Petr Mrázek.
Stauber won his first two starts with the Blackhawks this season, giving him a .940 save percentage. He has a 6-4 record for the IceHogs with an .896 save percentage. Stauber was the first Blackhawks goaltender since Gilles Meloche in 1971 to win his first two starts.
It's unclear when Stauber will make another start for the Blackhawks, but this likely means that Alex Stalock isn't ready to return.
