The Time Marty Mcsorely Got a Penalty For Something Nobody Ever Has..
Throughout the years of the national hockey league we have seen some of the STRANGEST penalties, from licking to even having your mouth guard sticking out too much can land you two minutes in the box- but will that two minutes have a big impact on the game?
These two minutes surely did, as Marty McSorley got a penalty for something nobody ever has, a illegal curve. It was a tie game at the time, when the referees asked to see Los Angeles Kings own Marty McSorley's stick which lead to a 2 minute penalty due to have a «illegal curve» officially measured and said.
That two minute penalty costed them the game, losing 3-2 in overtime off that power play the Montreal Canadiens defeated the LA Kings due to McSorley's illegal stick that was called for the first time EVER in NHL history.
