Update: Patrick Kane reportedly knows where he's headed next season
Chicago Blackhawks fans are reeling today as news breaks that Jonathan Toews will be stepping away from hockey.
Additionally, there are rumors circulating about
Patrick Kane's future in the league.
Source: Patrick Kane Knows Where He Will Play
I talked to one of Kane's good friends out in California and when talking about Kane he said, «He will play for a contender. He already knows the team too.»
While it was previously reported that Kane would not make a decision until later in the season, an anonymous source now claims that he is considering playing for a California-based contender.
This would narrow down his options significantly, as only one California team has been consistently making the playoffs.
Kane has previously been linked to several other teams, including the Buffalo Sabres, Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Regardless of where he ultimately ends up, Kane has plenty of time to make a decision as he continues to recover and heal.
