Blackhawks prospect Wyatt Kalynuk has signed with Sports Management company Gold Star Hockey. The announcement was made by Gold Star Hockey on their Twitter account earlier today.
Gold Star Hockey is definitely one of the more reputable places out there for hockey athletes, they represent the likes of Nikita Kucherov, Andrei Vasilevskiy, Ilya Sorokin, among many others. Wyatt Kalynuk is definitely in good hands.
Good timing for Wyatt Kalynuk as that was probably something he was wanting to get done and out of the way before the Rockford Ice Hogs begin their quest for the Calder Cup. Kalynuk probably hasn't had the season he was exactly hoping for, but it hasn't been disastrous or even bad really. Just a bit of an average season for an AHL defenseman. He's played 41 games in Rockford this season, and he is currently sitting at 20 points on the year. 7 goals to go along with 13 assists and a plus/minus of -9. Not the best numbers but certainly not the worst either. Should also be noted that he has played in 5 games at the NHL level this season, but in those 5 games has only averaged 12 minutes of ice time per game.
