"After struggling to recapture his success with the Blackhawks from last season, Nick Schmaltz had started to get it going in Arizona. Schmaltz scored 21 goals for the Hawks last year but was only able to register two in 23 games before he was shipped off to the Coyotes. In Arizona, Schmaltz found motivation and so far had 14 points in 17 games, however that's all come to an end. Craig Morgan of The Athletic reports that Schmaltz will miss the remainder of the 2018-19 season because of a knee injury.
