Bissonnette had found himself in trouble after he helped a local manager of one of his favorite bars in Scottsdale Arizona, who was being harassed by several patrons.
After stepping in to help the manager, 6 men decided to beat Bissonnette who was sent to hospital for precautionary measures after suffering internal injuries during the fight.
Both men chose to take shots at one another all in good fun during the broadcast as Bissonnette open things up after poking fun at Marchand asking him if one of his surgeries that he had during the summer included a hair transplant as his hair looks less thin than before.
Marchand didn't hesitate and threw a sharp-witted quip about Marchand looking at all the mugshots and looking like the guys who beat Bissonnette that night.
All members of the panel including Bissonnette and Marchand broke out into laughter as they all kept everything lighthearted and showed that even though he no longer plays the game he still has a strong bond with many of the players in the NHL today.
Bissonnette has been quite open about the incident and described it in detail several days ago while reassuring fans, but he is well and that he thanks all members of the hockey community who have been extremely supportive and helpful during this difficult time.
It remains to be seen on what will happen with the six individuals who are responsible for this attack and it's clear from Bissonnette himself that he would like to do something against them As he had stated earlier this week.
