BREAKING Blackhawks Defenseman Is Injured.
"The Chicago Blackhawks offseason has definitely been a roller coaster. It all started with the Blackhawks landing the #3 spot in the NHL Draft, then general manager Stan Bowman shocked lots of fans when he traded for Andrew Shaw. Bowman also spent the summer remodelling his defense. Unfortunately one of those new pieces might not be available to start the season. The Hawks' announced on Friday that Calvin de Haan is recovering from shoulder surgery and will be out of the lineup for at least 2-3 weeks. His status for the season opener is in question. Blackhawks say Calvin de Haan will be out of the lineup for 2-3 weeks as he continues to recover from shoulder surgery.
