Crushing injury news for the Calgary Flames following terrible scene

A brutal scene took place at the Lenovo Center tonight, as defenseman Kevin Bahl took a puck to the head.
The incident occurred with 35 seconds left in the third period, as Bahl would sacrifice his body to protect his goalie from the Carolina Hurricanes.
Instead of protecting his goalie, he should've protected his head which is where defenseman Jaccob Slavin shot the puck.
He'd get hit right in the helmet, while Wolf would do his best to guard the crease.
Bahl would walk off the ice with help, but there's been no update to Bahl's status yet.
To add greater context to this situation, prior to the break before the Four Nations Face-Off Kevin Bahl, a former New Jersey Devils prospect, now Flames defenseman would miss significant time due to a concussion.
This could end up being serious, as we've seen how bad concussions have threatened the careers of players like Filip Chytil and Sidney Crosby in the NHL.
Not to mention the ongoing risk of CTE which the NHL continually denies allegations of hockey having a risk of causing.
"I had a lot of head injuries in the past, and that's something I've got to think about and be smart about, and that's where I stand right now." At the time, Voracek estimated that he had had "seven or eight" documented concussions during his playing career.
Forward Jakub Voracek would have to retire after being diagnosed with more than 7 concussions during his career.
Let's hope that Bahl is safe and that nothing major will happen.
