Joel Quenneville had been drawing interest as a candidate for coaching positions in the NHL.

However, it looks like the disgraced coach may have to swallow his pride and continue on the path of penance.

Quenneville resigned in 2021 as the coach of the Florida Panthers after the news of the Kyle Beach incident reverberated throughout the league and the Chicago Blackhawks organization.

Quenneville has reportedly only done the off-ice work that the NHL has urged him to do, and "not enough" to be re-instated.

Quenneville had to meet with Gary Bettman to determine the next steps in the process of being reinstated in the NHL to coach.

During his off-time, it appears he only met the minimum requirements that the NHL wanted him to complete in order to return.

They want more off-ice activity done before considering him back for a position elsewhere apparently.

Quenneville won multiple Stanley Cups in Chicago and was coach of the nascent Florida Panthers at the time before being blacklisted after it was revealed that Brad Aldrich sexually assaulted Kyle Beach.

It looks like Coach Q will have to improve himself in the meantime before meeting with Bettman after the season ends to see where he stands.
