Perry did make a significant contribution to the teams push against the Floridan Panthers in the Finals, as he scored the game-winning-goal in Game 5.

The Oilers were generous enough to give him a modest contract with the $1.4 Million contract, having bonuses attached as an incentive for the veteran forward.

Perry has played in 1,311 games in 19 NHL seasons, scoring 905 points( 429 G, 476 A) and has a Stanley Cup to his name in 2007 with the Anaheim Ducks.
