The Chicago Blackhawks continue to struggle to open up the 2019-20 season with another loss on Sunday. While the Blackhawks lost to the Washington Capitals in a tight 5-3 game, there was a bright spot in the Hawks' lineup. The Blackhawks' 2019 first round pick, Kirby Dach, made his NHL debut skating alongside Patrick Kane and Dylan Strome. While the 18 year old didn't register any points and finished a -1, head coach Jeremy Colliton was impressed with Dach's game. «Really good,» Colliton said. «Very pleased. He looked comfortable. Made a lot of plays. Play away from the puck I thought was quite good. Pressure to cause turnovers, was safe with it — he made plays but did it safely. So good start for him.» «I look at his game, he's pretty responsible,» Colliton said. «He doesn't look like a centerman who is going to struggle in his own end. He looks like he knows what he's doing down there. It's not going to be perfect, but there's the opportunity for him to get a lot better really quickly. We'll see how it plays out." However there's some chatter he might not play Tuesday. «We'll see,» Colliton said when asked whether Dach will play Tuesday. «That's something we'll talk about. He didn't hurt himself tonight.» Do you think Dach has earned a roster spot for tomorrow's game against Vegas?
