Chelios' jersey retirement has already passed, as the Chicago Blackhawks legend is enshrined in the United Center rafters.

He will emblazon the United Center with his #7 as a symbol of success, of what hard work and perseverance can do.

During his career, Chelios won three Stanley Cups, one with the Montreal Canadiens and two with the Detroit Red Wings. He was also successful enough to win three Norris Trophies during his career in 1989, 1993, and 1996.

As a result, many people who had witnessed these legendary moments shared their memories and opinions of Chelios at a retirement ceremony.

Pat Foley, the former Chicago Blackhawks play-by-play commentator, offered up a hot-take regarding Chris Chelios' career.

He commented during the ceremony that Chelios was the most successful US-born NHL player, which with Patrick Kane in the building, the disrespect must have been devastating.

While Foley shares a lot of sentimentality for the defenseman, his career covered both Chelios and Kane's careers. I think that requires humility which may have been forgotten during the ceremony.

If I were Patrick Kane and Foley, said that I'd wanna pepper the net all night in petty vengeance to make sure, that Foley remembers, Kane isn't done yet.
