The Chicago Blackhawks are in a position this summer they haven't been in awhile. Heading into free agency, the Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman have some salary cap space to play with and no big name's on the current roster that have to be re-signed. Will the Blackhawks make a push during free agency?According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, they already have a target. Friedman reported in his latest edition of "31 Thoughts" that the Hawks are expected to make a push for free agent forward Kevin Hayes. Chicago is already familiar with Hayes as they drafted him during the first round of the 2010 NHL Draft, however Hayes refused to sign with the Hawks out of the NCAA and ended up hitting the free agent market where he eventually chose the New York Rangers. It seems the Hawks' have gotten over his refusal to sign in Chicago and are looking to bring him in with Artem Anisimov's game seeming to dwindle away. Would you like to see him in a Hawks' uniform?
