What do the Chicago Blackhawks and the Republican National Committee have in common? Not much exactly.

But the Blackhawks will head to the Milwaukee Fiserv Forum for their "Home Away from Home" game on October 5th, 2024 at 7 PM, the last pre-season game next season.

The bout will be against the St. Louis Blues and the reason we bring up the GOP in regards to the arena?

It will be where the Republican National Committee nominates Donald Trump as the party's next Presidential candidate, which will host the political party on July 15th-18th.

The arena opened in 2018, is home to the Milwaukee Bucks and Marquette University's Big East team, who're considered competitors in the NCAA.

The Fiserv Forum hosts 17, 538 for basketball, as it was designed primarily for this sport, but can accommodate 15, 178 for a hockey game.

Prior to the game, the Fiserv Forum's "Deer District" will host entertainment, ranging from Blackhawks celebrity appearances, to live music and photo opportunities.

The Blackhawks started playing in Milwaukee after a twenty-year absence, in 2022. It last played the Los Angeles Kings in Wisconsin, on December 1st, 1992 losing 6-3 in the now-obliterated Bradley Center.

"Our players, staff and fans had such an incredible experience at Fiserv Forum two years ago, and we're really excited to bring Blackhawks gameday back to Milwaukee this upcoming preseason," said Jaime Faulkner, president of business operations for the Blackhawks in a news release. "This is a great opportunity for all of our fans in northern Illinois and Wisconsin to be a part of Blackhawks hockey."
