Canucks star player Elias Pettersson's name has been swarming around ever since reports of J.T Miller and Elias Pettersson having beef in the locker room , reports heated up of the Canucks trading away their young star.
A new update has been given as of Friday, and the Canucks have made a move:
Jaw Dropping Update On the Drama in Vancouver Between Canucks Miller and Pettersson, a Move is Made
This is certainly an interesting approach from Allvin, putting a lot of pressure on Pettersson.
This is a golden opportunity for a young team like the Chicago Blackhawks to take advantage of the disgruntled Vancouver Canucks and submit a trade offer to general manager Patrik Allvin, while he is going through battles with his young star player.
According to reports, Pettersson wants to play in Chicago, check it out:
Pettersson, a pure goal-scorer, would be the ideal fit for the Blackhawks, a left-handed shot to slide onto Connor Bedard's line would finally give Bedard proper talent.
The Blackhawks would most definitely have to sacrifice a key piece of their future, as Pettersson is a key piece of theirs in Vancouver.
Frank Nazar, Blackhawks former thirteenth overall pick for the Chicago Blackhawks, who is a natural center, as Elias Pettersson is.
It would take a lot more for Kyle Davidson to acquire Pettersson, but Nazar would be the glue to the deal. Potentially a first round pick would be sent to the Canucks to provide them draft capitals, and a solidified player to help their playoff push, such as Ryan Donato or Tyler Bertuzzi.
To further the deal, Nazar may not be enough as a main piece... try Kevin Korchinski, the Blackhawks' former seventh overall draft pick, who would sincerly compare to the current value of ex-fifth overall pick, Elias Pettersson.
Pettersson is 26 years of age and has registered 28 points in 34 games this season, two seasons ago the 24-year-old finished with a whopping 102 points.
While times are tough in Vancouver, now is the time for teams like the Blackhawks, who are in the slumps and have capital to trade- to take advantage.
