Bedard Shows True colours at practice
Connor Bedard is a rising star in the NHL. Despite his relatively short stature, he has a commanding presence on the ice.
Fans have been won over by his generosity and his efforts to build relationships with them.
For instance, he has been known to sign autographs for young fans during practice.
He has also expressed excitement about participating in floor hockey events featuring children.
Recently, Bedard took time out of his busy training schedule to show appreciation for Blackhawks fans.
He made sure that fans who had been calling out his name during practice received pucks from him.
This is not the first time Bedard has gone out of his way to connect with fans.
Prior to Sunday's game against the Florida Panthers, Bedard saw a young fan holding up a sign that said, 'Bedard, I want to be just like you!' That's when the Blackhawks' rookie found a puck and flipped it over the glass to the lucky fan.
His efforts to meet fans where they are will undoubtedly help to build a new NHL fanbase, even as some criticize the league's leadership.
Bedard, like McDavid, will draw newer and younger fans into the league and this is just part of his charm.
