Having Chelios on the network is certainly a great way to help boost a little confidence in this network as the company who's owned by the Wirtz family and Jerry Reinsdorf could use all the help it can.
Chelios has appeared numerous times around the Blackhawks over the past couple of years as he has been brought in to honor several players and several milestones the team has achieved.
Recently, he was a guest speaker when his former teammate and friend Jeremy Roenick was honored as he entered the Hockey Hall of Fame.
The 62-year-old former defenseman was a legend but the Chicago Blackhawks fan base and was feared at times during his playing career as he was known for his toughness and his ability to score goals and points.
His career began in 1983 with the Montreal Canadiens where he played with the team till 1990 to which he then was with the Blackhawks till 1999.
He also had stops with the Detroit Red Wings, and the Atlanta thrashers when his career came to an end in 2010.
It's become imperative that CHSN tries to improve its image with the fan base as the network has been besieged since in its initial rollout in September.
Fans have struggled to watch their games whether it's through hardware issues or blackouts that have prevented them from seeing the games or just poor network functionality.
The battle is far from over as the network continues to work towards a carriage agreement likely with Comcast which would help correct most of their issues and help get their product to more devices and televisions across the Windy City.
