Lockhart was drafted in the 6th round of the 2021 NHL draft by the Vancouver Canucks, but he never signed an entry-level contract with the team before the deadline last summer.
The Durham Regional Police Service is investigating Oshawa Generals forward Connor Lockhart, the Ontario Hockey League said in a statement.
Lockhart, 21, has been suspended indefinitely. He was selected in the sixth round of the 2021 NHL entry draft by the Vancouver Canucks. Rick Westhead (@rwesthead) February 7, 2024
He is an overage player who won an OHL Championship in 2022-2023 with the Peterborough Petes but was traded due to the team having too many overagers on the team.
Unfortunately, Lockhart's investigation follows the 2018 World Junior Championship scandal's conclusion and could lead to further controversies.
