Trouble For Overager

The league discovered that Lockhart is currently under police investigation, however, no details about the investigation have been released to the public.

"On February 6, 2024, the Oshawa Generals and the Ontario Hockey League were made aware that one player, Connor Lockhart, is under investigation by Durham Regional Police Service. He has been indefinitely suspended by the team and the League until the matter is resolved. This follows the team and League suspending Lockhart following a League and team Code of Conduct matter. Given that the matter is now under police investigation, the team and League will have no further comment at this time."

Lockhart was drafted in the 6th round of the 2021 NHL draft by the Vancouver Canucks, but he never signed an entry-level contract with the team before the deadline last summer.

He is an overage player who won an OHL Championship in 2022-2023 with the Peterborough Petes but was traded due to the team having too many overagers on the team.

Unfortunately, Lockhart's investigation follows the 2018 World Junior Championship scandal's conclusion and could lead to further controversies.
