Canadian singer-songwriter, Chantal Kreviazuk, ignited a media frenzy during the 4 Nations Face-Off championship by altering the lyrics of Canada's National Anthem.

Kreviazuk took center stage on the ice at Boston's TD Garden for Canada's National Anthem and left fans furious as she swapped the traditional line «in all of us command» for «that only us command».
Despite her intention to display national pride, many fans portrayed her alteration to the anthem as provocative and disrespectful.
As this controversy continued and fans began to investigate Kreviazuk, it has been revealed that beyond her musical career, she shares her life with a very well known singer.
The lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the alternative rock band, Our Lady Peace, Raine Maida. The couple's partnership extends beyond their personal lives into their professional endeavours.
But could this controversy also create tension for Raine Maida?
Some fans have begun to involve this popular songwriter into this controversy as seen below.
Take a look:
Despite her intentions, many fans portrayed her decision to adjust the anthem as provocative. Luckily, Chantal Kreviazuk spoke up about this matter on a recently published instagram post, in hopes to redirect the attention to her purpose behind the adjustment to Canada's National Anthem.
«hey everyone.. thank you so much for all the love and support. what a game. and what an experience! To be clear I am fine with the haters. they're mostly bots. i get how this works. i feel only all your incredible passion for our country and your kindness. i want you to know that i didn't plan this or plot at all i was honoured to get the gig! During soundcheck I sang the wrong words «in all thy sons command» out of habit and when i analyzed the new line i thought wow- this could mean something so pertinent to our country in this moment with a change in just two words, three syllables. i didn't dream that such an effect would be had by deciding to go out there and do it. But it really felt like the right thing to do.»
