Major announcement from Hockey Canada involving Connor Bedard & others
Fans of the IIHF and International play have a lot to look forward to, as Team Canada has just released their lineup for the 2024 World Championship.
The roster includes Connor Bedard, Owen Power, and more NHL talent on the roster this year.
Meet the 22 players who will wear the at #MensWorlds!
22 players will be playing on Team Canada's roster for the IIHF and of those 22, 21 have played in the NHL. Macklin Celebrini, who is considered the 1st overall pick in 2024 is the odd man out.
NHL teams represented are the: Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Calgary Flames, Anaheim Ducks, Seattle Kraken, Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, Utah HC(formerly Arizona Coyotes), Pittsburgh Penguins, Buffalo Sabres, and Ottawa Senators have representation in competition on the Canadian team.
Sidney Crosby will however not be competing despite speculation about whether he would captain Team Canada or not.
The team will compete to bring home gold and that Canadian pride to the IIHF.
