Three Blackhawks Are Headed To The World Championships

The IIHF World Championships will be hosted in Czechia for the 2024 IIHF competition.

The tournament will be taking place from May 10th to the 26th, 2024 as all of the world's best hockey players, worldwide will descend upon Czechia to once again win Gold and notoriety if you're an NHL prospect.

Alex Vlasic and Seth Jones are two Blackhawks defensemen who have been named to Team USA for the 2024 World Championships. Bedard of course will represent Team Canada.

The tournament will take place in Ostrava Arena in Czechia which the country expects to draw major support from Poland as well.

"Tickets for the Slovak games were sold out within a few hours in the first sales phase. Of course, there is also large interest from Poland and our ice hockey region, which tells us that the Group B in Ostrava will be a great attraction. We are well prepared for the influx of sports fans. We are already far in the preparations because the organizing team is made up of very experienced professionals who know what they are doing. Therefore, we would like to get over the high bar from the previous 2015 IIHF WM" declared the member of the Central organizing committee, Petr Bř�za.

An integral part of the preparations is the Official Fan Zone, which will be located right next to the Ostrava Arena. "We are currently working on preparations for the program, which we would like to bring closer also to foreign visitors. That is also why we are considering inviting bands from countries of participating teams to make ice hockey fans really feel like at home," added Petr Bř�za.

No official rosters have been released yet, but you will get to see some Blackhawks in post-season play, albeit not in the NHL.

You'll be able to watch the 2024 IIHF games on NHL Network and ESPN+ in the United States and TSN in Canada, which will carry the games on their various channels.
