The start of the Chicago Sports Network, was fraught with errors, and they've continued into the NHL season, fans are unhappy.

The Chicago Sports Network was an attempt for local sports teams to control their product and funnel revenue into their coffers.
However, instead of being a smooth transition from NBC Sports Chicago, the Blackhawks would suffer as a result of terrible product management, and unforced errors.
The public relations scandal hit in October, as rather than paying more in carriage fees Wirtz would accept a solution that hasn't worked for fans.
There was always an option, such as joining the Cubs' own Marquee Sports Network, but instead would put all of his money with Jerry Reinsdorf.
However, the Hawks could have also joined up with the Chicago Cubs on their Marquee Sports Network and avoided this to begin with. The Blackhawks could have also gone it alone with the distribution of their broadcasts.
The Chicago Sun-Times ran a poll on "X" to get an idea of the viewership of the Blackhawks' game on CHSN.
67.8% answered they haven't watched Blackhawks games this season, which could explain the alienation the fanbase feels.
To get fans engaged once again, they'll have to correct the issues with Comcast, and YouTubeTV to find success.
Fans are frustrated with the lack of competitiveness of the team, and having to pay for another streaming service to watch games.
Now, the fallout has hit the wire as the majority of Chicago sports fans are unhappy with the direction Jerry Reinsdorf, and Danny Wirtz are taking them.
You can't help but feel the pain, as they're locked out of a service that would make them pay $30.00 a month or more to watch the White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks.
