A tragic passing has struck the Toronto Sports and Hockey World
Eric "Moose" Anweiler was the Manager of the North Toronto Arena and was a leader in the community.
He had a long run, managing the North Toronto Arena, and described as one of the best to do it.
According to many who knew him, he had a big heart and personality and affected many peoples lives in the area.
His family and hockey family will mourn his passing:
Saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Eric «Moose» Anweiler. Long time manager of North Toronto Arena, the best run Arena anywhere. A giant personality and presence and even larger heart. Great family man. We are going to miss you my great friend.
The North Toronto area, has been aptly described as "weird" but it is one of it's quirks. It's image makes it hard to forget in your mind, making it a fond memory to have if you've played there before.
The local community hopes that someone who takes over the arean next, will be as passionate as Eric was. Here's hoping it lands in good hands. We offer our condolences to the Anweiler's and their family and friends.
