Hockey mom fight takes turn for the worst after alleged battery
As many know the saying, «needs more cowbell» comes to mind when remembering the skit from Saturday Night Live with actor Christopher Walken certainly does not need to be said at a hockey game, until today.
In an apparent altercation that occurred in the Northern Ontario community of Sturgeon Falls when a spectator fight broke out between two hockey moms where one decided to hit the other with a cowbell.
The game was part of the U18 between the Markstay-Warren Wolves and the Don's Butcher Shop West Nippising Stings. One mother was giving another mother some heckling as the Wolves took four years to beat the other team.
This let to both breaking out into a fight in which the cowbell was used. As a result, a 40-year-old Markstay-Warren woman has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and mischief by destroying or damaging property.
I have heard some interesting choices of weapons from fists , to a shoe against a spectator speak to Mike Milbury and now a cowbell.
It's never a dull moment in this sport.
