Huge announcement involving Chicago Blackhawks as head coach Luke Richardson confirmed

The head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks, Luke Richardson, played an outstanding 1417 NHL games, a good chunk of them with his hometown team in Ottawa, Ontario.

He has even admitted to skating all the way down the Rideau Canal, one of the biggest hockey ranks in the entire world, located in his hometown of Ottawa Ontario.

"The last time I did it, it was very cold," Richardson said. "I thought I was doing the smart thing in going with the wind, until I realized I had to skate seven kilometers back into the wind. And it was stiff cold, so it was a reminder, to be smart, just like our defensemen."

With over 21 seasons underneath his belt, the Ottawa Senators organization has announced that Luke Richardson has been inducted into the Ottawa sports Hall of Fame just last week.

He had a whopping 2055 penalty minutes and 135 career fights over his 21 seasons in the NHL.

Richardson was selected seventh overall in the 1987 NHL entry draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs and would play four seasons with them. He went on a escape for the Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, and even the Toronto Maple Leafs once again before finishing his career with his hometown team, the Ottawa Senators.

Congrats Coach on this big announcement, it is much deserved!
