The Blackhawks rebuild is heading into its third year as general manager Kyle Davidson decided to pull apart the organization and attempt to rebuild it in a new direction spearheaded by 1st overall pick Connor Bedard. He continued to add more pieces to this prospect pool including Frank Nazar, Sam Rinzel and Oliver Moore to name a few.
The Blackhawks now stand at 2nd overall and have looked at two specific players who are forward Ivan Demidov and defenseman Artyom Levshunov. Both players would give the Blackhawks a large boost in its prospect ranks and will continue to bolster their talent.
It's likely, Davidson will be looking at the trade route to add more pieces to help accelerate the process as they've entered the point where the team will need to start competing for a higher spot in the standings.
NHL rebuilds are only supposed to last so long and teams need to start showing their fans that they're wanting to win and with the Blackhawks being one of the largest markets in the United States, it's time they start to move the needle.
The NHL first round draft will be held on June 28th take place in Las Vegas NV at the sphere. Time will tell if Davidson has more trades up his sleeve as many expect him to be very aggressive and imaginative in how to make the Blackhawks better.
