Announcement: it has just been confirmed for Darren Pang and the Blackhawks
It was announced earlier today that Blackhawks TV analyst and former NHLer Darren Pang will join CHGO Blackhawks to discuss the Blackhawks season and the upcoming Stanley Cup final.
Pang was a member of the Chicago Blackhawks in two stints from 1984-85 then in 1987 through 1989. While his NHL career did not go too far, he remained in the game through various jobs including assistant coach, goalie coach and then broadcaster.
He is the lead commentator for the Blackhawks and the number 2 commentator for TNT along with work in the NHL Network. He is well known for his commentary along the benches where he can get a sense of how the game is going between both teams.
His primary focus is usually the goaltending and what he feels goaltenders are doing or not doing throughout the game.
His appearance at CHGO Blackhawks will take place at 2:30 PM central time on June 5th.
