Jack Pridham was selected 92nd overall in the 3rd round of the 2024 NHL Draft. The Blackhawks had to trade with the Carolina Hurricanes a third-round pick last draft by sending a 3rd in 2026.

With the team trading up todraft Pridham, he must've been filling a need for the Blackhawks' future right?

Combines size, speed, and skill that will get attention from NHL scouts. His offensive toolkit is varied enough that he is not a one trick pony off the rush with enough passing vision to take advantage of better options when he isn't in a high value shooting position. He is very disciplined in his passing options, targeting quick passes, where other puck carriers might force the play. Will need to improve his defensive pace, but certainly has the physical tools to move the needle when his team is not in possession. Projects as a modern power forward in the making.

He sounds like a promising forward, who could prove to be a future bottom-six problem solver for the Blackhawks.

However, there are still deals being signed across junior leagues, and Pridham recently signed with his new team in the OHL. The Kitchener Rangers.

Pridham fits a kind of typical player Davidson loves to draft, if you take a peek at players like Oliver Moore and Frank Nazar.

fits the mold of several other players the Blackhawks have drafted under GM Kyle Davidson: he's a fast-skating, high work ethic player who is a relentless puck hound - though he's a bit more of a project than some others.

In 2023-2024 with the West Kelowna Warriors, he posted 48 points(23 G, 25 A) in 54 games in the BCHL.

He will join the OHL's Rangers after playing only 12 games in the BCHL this season, scoring 10 points( 5 G, 5 A) before leaving to join his new team.

It looks like Kyle Davidson drafted another real one. Here's hoping he turns out to be as promised when he arrives in Rockford.
