Well according to attendance records from last night, the team posted a record of 19,056 in attendance.
The not-so-quite full Arena can typically hold 19,717 and this was for the home opener, the faithful and excited should be in attendance correct?
I guess we were wrong, as undoubtedly the Blackhawks' not-so-hot start to the season led to the bad attendance?
The reason according to CST's Ben Pope is due to a lack of single-ticket sales for the team.
Season tickets are at capacity though.
Is this the start or culmination of the Blackhawk's bad decision-making with Chicago Sports Network, and putting their cash in with Jerry Reinsdorf?
Or should we consider a multitude of factors, such as a lack of confidence in the team's ability to rebound from last season?
As you can see from the graph below from HockeyDB, the attendance for the Hawks is still bad as they haven't seen crowds in 20K figures since 2019-2020.
