Blackhawks Acquiring Leafs' Mitch Marner? Pat Boyle From NBC Chicago Just Spoke On The Possibility

Boyle feels that the Wirtz corporation should all that it can including offering cryptocurrency or sponsorship deals to help overpay for Marner's services.

Bringing him in to the Blackhawks organization would jump start their rebuilt and bring a bonafide superstar that would work alongside Connor Bedard and be able to play at his level.

It's been well documented that Marner has expressed the desire to remain with the Maple Leafs even though he has no contract extension. He is currently working on his last year of his six-year deal which is currently paying him on average $11 million per season.

Many feel that he will be north of $13 million per season as he is currently putting up excellent numbers and showing that he has become a leader and would be a huge asset for any team that would want to sign him.

Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving stated that they would work his new deal and both parties would be willing to make it happened at any point during the season.

It's safe to say that general manager Kyle Davidson would have the capital and the means to send an offer to Mitch Marner once he becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.

It will be a fascinating time and likely the most lucrative offseason in NHL history as many prominent players and superstars will be eligible for contract extensions or contract extension talks.

The entire landscape of the NHL could change, and the Blackhawks can be front and centre that could propel them much more quickly than anticipated.
