IceHogs Coach Sorensen Hopes for Slaggert to be Cut from Blackhawks Camp
Blackhawks AHL head coach Anders Sorensen isn't wishing for any Blackhawks prospects to be cut from training camp, except one.
He is hoping Landon Slaggert will end up in the AHL.
«We'd be excited to have him if that's what happens,» Sorensen said.
Sorensen has coached Slaggert and his brother Graham before and has a strong bond with their dad, Andy, who coaches at Notre Dame.
This connection helped bring Landon to the Blackhawks.
With Chicago's deeper roster, prospects like Slaggert might spend time in the AHL to develop, and Sorensen may just get his wish come true.
